How can I learn more about the programs?  This website will have the most up-to-date information. The LSC Expo in December is the best place to meet the teachers and learn about the programs all at one time. 

How do I apply?  Go to the HOME page and click "Apply Now".  Once your application is submitted, you will be waiting for a pass from the CTE office to come for interview.

Is transportation provided?  Yes, transportation is provided to and from the host school.

What type of student is best for career technical education?  Whether you are going to a two or four year college, technical school, military or right in to the workplace, we have a program for you. See the Program Pages on the "OUR PROGRAMS" tab for details.

Can I earn college credit?  Yes. All programs offer college credit, whether it be through articulated credit or CT(2) credit. See the COLLEGE CREDIT INFO Page on this website for more details or talk to the CTE instructor. Post-secondary options can be discussed with your counselor.

What does "Priority Status Application Deadline" mean?  You will have first priority interviews and will receive 5 extra points on the interview scoring. You can apply at any time after November 7th, but some programs fill up quickly. It is better to apply before the priority status deadline.

Should I prepare for my interview?  You will be asked up to 10 questions about your interest in the program. No prior knowledge is necessary. Interviews will be in late-January, during the school day. If you miss your interview, contact 440-974-5336 to reschedule.

How many students apply?  Over 500 students applied for the 2019-20 school year.

 

When will I find out if I was accepted into a program?  You will receive a letter in late-February. You will either be "accepted" or put on a "wait list". See timeline below.

Will I pick the right program for me?  Fill out an Interest Form, show your parent/guardian the Program Catalog, meet with the teacher, visit our Expo events (daytime and evening), and talk to our Student Ambassadors.  Learn as much as you can about all of the programs so that you pick the program where you will be MOST successful. YOUR FUTURE STARTS NOW!!

Where can I find important documents?  Several documents can be found on the Home Page of this website. You can also stop by the CTE Office in your building.
