PATIENT CARE/HEALTH INFORMATION/DATA (PHD)
Successful completion of the program will provide the student with:
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
Knowledge of medical office support for a private practice, hospital, or clinic
Registering patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits, transfers, discharge and patient billing
Understanding patient’s needs: vital signs, height/weight, common diseases, ambulation, turning position, bed making, personal care, grooming, ADL's, patient care procedures, nutritional needs, and specialized care
Death and Dying
STNA, Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist, Certified Healthcare Access Associate
ARTICULATED COLLEGE CREDIT:
Articulated college credit will be available to successful completers.
Students who have successfully completed the program and met the requirements for college credit can earn up to:
