Interactive Media Students work with MHS's Model UN students

October 18, 2016

This past weekend, the MHS Model UN hosted a number of schools for a two day event, however, Mr. Couch, the Model UN advisor, worked with Mr. Lynch's Interactive Media senior class to make things a bit more interesting than teams expected.  The IM students not only created a surprise introductory video to set the tone and the situation for the teams, but also numerous other videos and even simulated documents that would be introduced to teams at key moments to simulate real-world crises. Videos included simulated newscasts, secret communiques, and intercepted intelligence transmissions. The Model UN students then had to deal with this new information as they made decisions and the meeting progressed.  It was a great chance for the IM class to work with a real world client and deadline situation and the seniors in the IM class did a great job.
