Cisco Student, Kaitlynn Wheeler, Heads to Dallas for Nationals

Kaitlynn Wheeler of the Cisco Academy at Euclid High School as part of the Lake Shore Compact Career Tech qualified for the Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference and Competition in Dallas Texas this May. Kaitlynn finished 2nd in the State Competition to advance in the Systems Administration Using Cisco National Competition. The competition is based on industry type certification tests with a practical component in the National Finals.

This is the 10th year in a row that the Cisco CTE program has sent a student to compete at the National Leadership event. In the last nine years, the program has taken home seven 1st places and two 3rd places at Nationals.

Kaitlynn was the only female in the four major Networking Technology and Cyber-security Competition to make it in the top 10 of an event. Also, competing at the State level this year were Jeremy Morton who placed in the top 10 as a junior, and Christofer Wright.  Congratulations to all the students for their success and achievements this year!
