CISCO Program Visits the Information Security Summit Conference

Cisco, a Career Technical Education Program offered at Euclid High School through the Lake Shore Compact, attended the Information Security Summit (ISS) Conference, the Midwest’s largest gathering of security professionals.  This week-long conferences at the IX Center invites local area students to attend free on the first day of the conference to discuss careers and trends in Cybersecurity.

 

Students attended the keynote address "Yes You  Can" that addressed what it takes to be part of a career in Cybersecurity. This was followed up by topics such as: How to Get on a Cyber Ops Certification Track, Security Issues in Virtual Reality, and Careers in Information Security.

 

The conference also included booths from many area tech businesses such as ASMGi, Hurricane Labs and BWM, It also brought in colleges like Cuyahoga Community College and Baldwin Wallace where students were able to visit and interact with security professionals.
