The Mentor School District/Lake Shore Compact has recently completed an intern affiliation agreement with Swagelok Company, that will allow qualified students in the Advanced Manufacturing Program (formerly known as CNC Manufacturing) the ability to apply for paid internships in the manufacturing field for their senior year.

Swagelok headquartered in Solon, Ohio with approximately $2 billion in annual revenue. Its authorized sales and service centers support customers in more than 70 countries on six continents.

Mentor High School Senior, Evan Knight, will be the first paid intern of the Mentor/Swagelok affiliation and began his internship in January at Swagelok in Highland Heights. The Advanced Manufacturing program, offered by Mentor Public Schools through the Lake Shore Compact, offers students from Euclid, Wickliffe, and Mentor schools the ability to participate their junior and senior year and learn more about the field of advanced manufacturing.
